Psoriasis
Psoriasis is a chronic skin condition characterized by the appearance of patches of red, thickened skin covered with silver or white scales. This autoimmune condition occurs when the body’s immune system mistakenly attacks skin cells, leading to an accelerated life cycle. Under normal conditions, skin cells are renewed approximately every 3 to 4 weeks, but in psoriasis, this process can take as little as a few days.
