Allergic Rhinitis

It causes symptoms similar to those of a cold, including a runny nose, itchy eyes, congestion, sneezing, and pressure in the sinus cavities. However, unlike a cold, allergic rhinitis is not caused by a virus but by an allergic response to a harmless substance from inside or outside the body that the immune system identifies as harmful (allergen).

Symptoms

Runny nose and nasal congestion – Redness and itching in the eyes and watery eyes (allergic conjunctivitis) – Sneezing – Coughing – Itching in the nose, palate, or throat – Mucus dripping down the back of the throat (postnasal drip) – Bluish and inflamed skin under the eyes (allergic shiners) – Extreme fatigue.
