In the last decade, science has proven that optics; as a branch of physics, it is capable of contributing to people’s health processes. This process is known as photobiomodulation or PBM. When a person is currently diagnosed with cancer, traditional systems seek to destroy cancer cells (chemotherapy and radiotherapy) or “neutralize”, “relieve” or “prevent” the cancer from returning (immunotherapy). Science has proven that these processes are not always achieved successfully, due to the complexity of the mutations and mechanisms adopted by cancer cells. The foundations of chemotherapy and radiotherapy date back to the middle of the last century, however, today they are standard processes for treating cancer. Immunotherapy came as a hope to resolve this phenomenon of multifactorial origin, but unfortunately, the results have not been as expected.
