Burn

A burn is an injury to the skin or other tissues of the body caused by exposure to sources of heat, chemicals, electricity, radiation, or friction. Burns can vary in severity, from mild injuries affecting only the superficial layer of the skin to deeper injuries that may involve more extensive tissues and require immediate medical attention. By applying low-intensity light to the affected area, photobiomodulation stimulates cellular processes that can promote tissue regeneration.

Benefits of PBM

• Has anti-inflammatory properties, helping to reduce the inflammatory response associated with burns.
• Stimulates cellular regeneration and accelerates the healing process of burns.
• Exhibits analgesic effects and reduces the sensation of pain associated with burns.
• Improves local circulation, promoting the delivery of oxygen and nutrients to the affected tissues.
• Reduces swelling associated with burns by enhancing circulation and reducing the inflammatory response.
• Stimulates collagen formation, a key protein in scar tissue formation that enables the recovery of burned skin.
